As 2020 looms, many are putting together a list of New Year's resolutions. I have done this many times in the past, and usually, by around January 7th, I start to break them one by one. This can leave you feeling dejected, disappointed, annoyed, or worse! Often the problem is that our lists are much, much too long.
So this year, instead of a long unrealistic list of resolutions for 2020, write down that long list, but then choose just ONE item from the list. Be careful and selective. Choose the one that not only could be most helpful/meaningful to you but also the one where the chances of successfully sustaining that resolution are realistic and achievable. Succeeding at just one thing will be a certain path to succeeding at other things. It fuels confidence like nothing else.
